OnTheRoad: cowshed bay, our little paradise
Hoy ha sido uno de esos días que no quieres que acabe. Hemos cruzado de la isla norte a la sur con Interislander y nos han tratado tan bien que casi no me bajo del ferry. Cuando vuelva escribiré un posts.
Today it has been one of those days you don’t want it to end. We crossed from the north to the south island with interislander and they treated so well that I almost stayed in the ferry. Once back I’ll write a post about it.
Después de llegar a Picton nos hemos puesto en camino hacia el Kenepuru Sound y hemos encontrado de nuevo un paraíso: Cowshed Bay y el camping del Departamento de conservación. Cuesta 6$ por persona y se puede acampar directamente en la bahía. Se puede nadar, pescar y, lo mejor, puedes encontrar tu cena en las rocas.
After getting to Picton we headed to the Kenepuru Sound and we found again a paradise: Cowshed Bay and the DOC campsite. It costs as little as 6$ and you can camp directly on the bay. You can swim, fish and even find your dinner on the rocks.
Justo cuando llegamos había marea baja y vimos que había muchas conchas en la playa. Fuimos a dar un paseo y al otro lado de la bahía encontramos muchos mejillones en las rocas. Empezamos a coger unos pocos y al final se han convertido en nuestra cena.
When we arrived it was low tide and he saw many shells on the beach, we walked around the corner and discovered many rocks full of mussels. We started collecting them and ended up with a good amount of them. So good that we made our dinner of it.
Con un poco de imaginación y usando lo que teníamos en la nevera nos han salido unos mejillones al vino exquisitos. ¡Quien nos iba a decir que por 6$ no sólo íbamos a tener camping sino también cena! ¿Os entra a vosotros también hambre?
With some imagination and some ingredients from the fridge, we have got very tasty wine mussels. Who would tell us that for 6$ we would get campsite and dinner! Anyone feeling hungry?
