Every month we share an overview of what we have done and our travel plans for the upcoming month(s). June’s summary comes a bit late, but if you follow us on instagram and/or facebook, you already know the reason.
We started the month with the last caravan trial before our trip to Slovenia. Four nights in Ermerstrand, from where we did a day trip to Wildlands and another day trip to Slagharen.
We were really impressed with Wildlands. There are three different theme areas: Jungola, Serenga and Nortica. Each one having its decoration, characteristic animals and a special attraction. In Jungola you can take a boat trip, in Serenga you can join a safari ride, and in Nortica you can fly to the Artic. The favourite part of the kids was the safari ride. They loved watching the giraffes and the rhinos.
Our visit to Slagharen was also great until it began to rain. Fortunately, we were close to the Randy’s playground, where there are roofed attractions. Liam was really happy to ride five times in a row in the convoy race 🙂 Check Slagharen.com and Ticketveiling.nl for buying tickets in advance at a very discounted price.
We have spent the rest of the month in Slovenia and this is also the reason the summary of June comes a little bit late. I had the laptop with me, but we were busy every day and the kids went quite late to sleep, so no time for blogging (and honestly, holiday is holiday 🙂 ).
In three weeks, we visited the most iconic locations like Lake Bled, Vintgar Gorge, Ljubljana and Postojna Cave.
As well as the best natural spots like Lake Bohinj, Vogel, Kobarid and velika planina.

What a day! First, I twisted my toes. Then, we drove to the Mostnica Gorge but we came back as a thunder storm was approaching. As my toes were still hurting, we decided to try Slovica waterfall (it should be a very short walk). As soon as we closed the car it began to rain cats and dogs, so badly that we just decided to go back to our caravan. In the afternoon, we took the boat around Bohinj lake and just before dinner, the rain stopped and we had this amazing view. Tomorrow, we are trying to get the car and caravan on the car train and cross to the other side of the mountains. Wish us luck! 😂
I will write some post about Slovenia shortly, but in the meanwhile, you can check our instagram for some pictures.
Upcoming trips: YogaCamp
The YogaCamp is a combination of camping holidays with yoga lessons. During your stay, you can join 2,5 hours of Yoga per day. Each week there’re different yoga teachers, so I’m sure the lessons will be diverse. And that’s not all, there’s also the foodtruck holly basil which will provide catering.
This time I’m not going alone. Paul and the kids will come as well. And while I enjoy my bit of peace during the yoga lessons, they will be enjoying the facilities of the camping de lemeler esch: playgrounds, heated outdoor swimming pool, an indoor playground and children activities. I would say, it’s a win-win situation, right? If you love Yoga and camping, check YogaCamp as you can still book a week.
This is all for us, but what about you? Have you already been on holidays? If not, where are you going?
