    1. Hi Jolanta,

thanks for visiting! all the surroundings looks like this due to the fact that the water of the lake was diverted and the level dropped. What you see in the pictures was under water in the past.
      shere

    1. this was the first big trip for the little one. He was 10 months and really enjoyed it!

    1. I didn’t know about the mono lake before, but when i saw a picture in pinterest i decided that it will be part of the itinerary

  1. We used to drive by Mono Lake every time we went to visit family in Reno. Can’t believe we never stopped to at least take some photos. Thanks for sharing yours!

    1. it’s worth!! I didn’t mention but you need to pay a fee to enter (free if you have the NP card)

  2. Reminds me of the Dead Sea and at the time of me writing this I have no idea where Mono Lake is but will look it up and learn a little more. Thanks.

    1. Like the Dead sea, the mono lake has a lot of salt. Mono lake is in California, east from Yosemite NP.

  3. Great photos. That is a real interesting landscape. The blue makes it seem cold even though your in Cali.

    1. Thanks Holly!! I didn’t use any filters, so that it’s also the real blue

    1. I can’t remember where I heard about Mono Lake, as it was on the way, we made a stop (if Liam would have been sleeping, we would have continued our trip)

  4. Did they have any info about how/why it has the interesting rock formations? It looks awesome!
